Ijeoma Nwuju, DPM, is a skilled podiatrist at Foot and Ankle Wellness Center, with locations in Washington, DC, and Clinton, Maryland. With every patient, his goal is to offer expert podiatry care that enables them to live pain-free and improve their quality of life.
Dr. Nwuju graduated from the prestigious New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 2014. He completed his residency in foot and ankle surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC, where he was trained to perform today’s cutting-edge surgical procedures and then spent a year training extensively at both the DC and Baltimore VA Hospitals.
Dr. Nwuju is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and has a special interest in pediatric podiatry care, sports medicine, reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma, and wound care. Dr. Nwuju is licensed to practice podiatric medicine in Maryland and Washington, DC, and is board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
He is affiliated with several hospitals in the area, including Howard University Hospital, United Medical Center, Bridgepoint Hospital, and Southern Maryland Surgical Center.
Originally born in Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. Nwuju grew up in the Greenbelt, Maryland, area and currently resides in Washington, DC with his wife, kids, and their two dogs.
